"Really enjoyed the historical aspects of the inn. The decor in the parlour rooms, dining room and our suite transported my wife and I back in time to the 1940s or even earlier. The friendliness of our waiter for breakfast was enjoyed as well. Close proximity to town but with peaceful grounds around the inn were also appreciated."

"The Marshlands Inn is an institution and you expect that some details are not up to today's standards. However, our room was in the Carriage house, which needed recurring air conditioning, which was very loud. The lamps did not function very well and we had to wait over one hour for breakfast. I ordered French Toast and got some kind of dry crumpets, nearly edible."
