"This was a very comfortable modern house like a tiny home but felt spacious. Kids loved sleeping in the loft. It was warm and inviting. The setting is lovely on a river with some small falls. I imagine Iin summer the outdoor bbq area would be very nice. We had a very comfortable night. Free onsen was nice although glad no one else there as it was tiny."

The location is quite far from the train so you need a taxi. The taxi drivers seemed put out to go there she it cost us about $40. Also far from a shop. So bring food or have a car. I like an onsen but it was very tiny. It would be nicer outdoors by the river.

We got the tent next to washroom, we were hearing the motor sound always even when sleeping.

The way to get there is very adventurous. I arrived in the dark and I wasn't really sure I am at the right place because of the road. Quite scary.

The budget Dacia Dokker camper doesn't have insulation, be aware!

For me, the location is perfect because it is a bit further away from town (which can be very noisy), making the atmosphere much calmer and more peaceful. In addition, the two buses that go to the main destinations on the island stop right in front: to Playa Bluff or towards Bahía Dragón and Playa Estrella. Taxis to town cost 1 dollar. There are affordable options for both rooms and tents. The tents are set up on wooden platforms in a very cozy space with hammocks and sofas. The place is well maintained, with a beautiful garden and a fully equipped kitchen. Howler monkeys pass by very often, and you can also see hummingbirds, which makes the atmosphere even more special. The owner, Johny, is very attentive and friendly, and the volunteers are also very kind and helpful. If I return to Bocas del Toro, I will definitely stay there again. I highly recommend it."

"The road to Carbunari is not the best one, but can be approached with any type of car. The accommodation is setup in a very nice setting, the wooden cabins are close to the forest and the whole place is at the end of the road. No neighbours, no noise, only nature! The owners are awesome people, and they are doing their best to make their guests feel like home. We rarely say this, but we’d be very happy to see them again!"

The road from Oravita is pretty bad, but the one from Bozovici is decent, even tho unpaved.
