"The family ambience and the warm welcome impressed me. I enjoyed the music from the neighbourhood on New Year Eve, till the early hours of the morning. The view from the terrace was spectacular and reminded me of Havana, Rio de Janeiro and Mexico City. The rice fields on the drive from the airport reminded me of the rice fields of Hanoi. Although the immediate vicinity might discourage some travellers, my spirit of adventure loved it because that is where one encountered the real Antananarivo and its people. I took long walks of up to five hours and loved every part of it. The people mind their own business, but they exude respect, calmness and peace. I attended a church service in a denomination that I didn't know but I enjoyed the 3-hour service tremendously."

The cobble stone paving to the leading to Wonderland could have been better, but it is short and it didn't bother me.

The beach is simply a paradise on its own, just wow! You can relax and enjoy the splendid colours of the ocean or go for a beautiful beach walk. The food menu at Kokoa changes every day, and the cook...absolutely phenomenal. Forget everything you have tried so far in Madagascar and enjoy the cuisine at K. Sands. Our bungalow was well equipped and beautifully decorated, wild, wodden, and perfectly matching our taste. Jean Michel was always around and looked for our wellbeing. We appreciate the long chats, the stories about Kokoa Sands, and the engagement in the local community. The place is a paradise, but the owners make the overall experience just unforgettable.
