"La Bergerie is a beautiful and very special place: it feels like a corner of the Ancient Mediterranean but with modern comfort and lots of attention to detail, both in the rooms and in the areas outside. Owners and staff are very kind. Good breakfast and excellent food at dinner in the restaurant."

"Our room was facing the road and the sea view. The road was very noisy at night with cars and lights. Blackout blinds would help with the car lights. Room was perfect for our needs with spacious bathroom and wardrobe. Pool was lovely and breakfast was in a lovely setting also. I would describe the hotel as boutique with unique setting and areas all over the hotel to chill and relax."

"Beautiful property, very welcoming, lovely grounds. Room overlooked the bay, was lovely and cool with air con. The restaurant was not open every evening but we ate there twice and it was excellent. We had a freshly caught sea bream (Dorade) one night and then a simply superb Lamb Tagine (hotel has Moroccan heritage) on our last night. The town/beach of L’Île Rousse is wonderful, with plenty of parking in the town centre, and lots of great bars and restaurants."

"In warm summer weather, it’s a good 20 min walk down to the main town, either via a rather rough footpath to the main road, or via the main road itself which doesn’t have footpaths all the way. As the restaurant is not open every evening you’ll need to go into town (the hotel frowns on food and drink in the rooms). As it’s all downhill going there, it’s all uphill on the way back! We did a mix of walk, drive and taxi during our stay - taxis are not plentiful in the town but the hotel gave us a card for one firm who were v helpful. We understood the hotel stance on food/drink in rooms but as the bar was shut by 10pm when we were coming back in, we found this a bit restrictive."

"Loved everything about this property. 10 min walk to the town & beach. The pool was lovely, also lots of little nooks to sit & read/admire the views. The food was exceptional! Would recommend!"

"Lovely atmosphere, cosy, bohemian chic. Just a short walk to the beach. Staff really friendly. Lovely quiet pool which plenty of nice little places to chill."

"Very beautiful complex, wonderful to sit outside to work or relax, beautiful view from our outdoor balcony, so many places to hang around. Tasteful, interesting, comfortable, very friendly and accommodating hosts. Safe parking with shade. Lovely pool and garden spaces! Everything clean and up to standards. Very beautiul and calm with cottages/rooms spread aound on the spacious complex."

"No big deal, but beds are on the hard side. Nothing around the hotel, so you have to go to town for dinner or andything else you want to buy. We did not try the resturant nor breakfast (we found it too costly)."
