Довольно далеко от основной улицы, километра три, не видно общественного транспорта, нужно ехать на такси. Район не имеет рядом дешёвых магазинов и столовых, всё только дорогое для туристов.

Прохладно в номере в зимнее время года +22 градуса, часто отсутсвовала горячая вода. Я так понимаю: хостел в большей мере расчитан на летнего туриста

"Fantastic location. I had a private room and bathroom. Fantastic. Quiet, helpful staff and a great location. Loved it. Super close to walking up the hill for a great view over the city and close to all key sites in the old city. Inexpensive and good value. I didn't eat breakfast there as there is a wonderful garden cafe 1 min walk in the same street which is lovely for good coffee and food."

Hot water was a little temperamental and loo leaked.

Inside the cabins gets really hot during the day. Not a single spoon in the hole place to eat my soup. To enter the compound there's a very awkward padlock where you have to drop everything on the floor to open the door. Not good if the floor is wet or in the darkness of night

"Great place to stay in Dakar – a quiet area just outside the very city center, which makes it more peaceful and relaxed, and at the same time it is very close to the sea. You can fall asleep listening to the sound of the waves, and during the day enjoy a beautiful garden full of greenery and chirping birds. "Ignore the previous negative comments. The whole place has been repainted and everything was amazing, especially the staff. The website is very useful, especially about transport from Cayenne to Georgetown or vice versa. Thank You 🙏"

All was Ok. If you don't like the heat, take an AC room as I did..

"Great helpful staff, freshly cleaned room. I arrived earlier than planned and they quickly swept and mopped the room and made up my bed while I waited. Super central location. Showers were hot. Got given a roll of toilet paper on check in which seems like a great solution to previous negative reviews saying toilet paper ran out and wasn't topped up. Great value for money"

There was no common area to hang out in like a lounge or courtyard or kitchen, but even still I made new friends just in my dorm room, in the corridor and in the bathroom while brushing my teeth. Probably not ideal for light sleepers as there is a karaoke bar nearby but I really enjoyed being able to hear all the singing!

"I really like the concept of this place. It's affordable, and the proceeds go to the animals. The terrace in our room was great. There was a super cute cat tablecloth on the table."
