"My second visit here. Lovely secluded location in historic building. Communal living room, light airy rooms, kitchen with fridge, hob, oven, coffee percolator and kettle (but no microwave). So peaceful at night and surrounded by the tern colony. Key box for entry so no worries about time of arrival."

"Only one showed and two toilets between five rooms (ten guests). Make sure you have all the food required as no facilities in Rif - nearest store is in Olafsvik."

"A spacious house in Rif with clear self check in instructions sent and further information around the house. Sizeable lounge and dining area and kitchen with all essentials available, including 2 fridges. A bathroom and separate toilet, and the bed itself was lovely and comfortable. Even a chest of drawers there for storage, and lush towels provided. We were first ones in the house and I think only half the rooms were occupied so no issues with sharing facilities. Good WiFi that extended to most of the building."

"The room has clearly been converted from single to double, as it just fits a double bed with maybe 20cm left until the wall (and the keyring still says single). So the room itself was quite crammed especially compared to the other rooms on the same floor. But, luckily we had few things and we fit there nicely."

"The room was too small for two people. Opening only one suitcase left us with basically no empty floor space. The sea view was mostly a parking lot with a small sliver of sea showing in the corner. That being said, I got a peek in other rooms after other guests had left, and all the other rooms looked much better than ours."

"The property was situated in an absolutely beautiful setting. The kitchen was spotlessly clean , well equipped and big enough to share. There was a large sitting room area where people could socialise if they wished . There was a downstairs toilet and a shower room with toilet upstairs , so more than adequate for the people staying . We visited the Freezer hostel nearby for a music evening which was great fun, this was advertised in the guesthouse. Our bedroom was very clean and very comfortable. The bed was absolutely huge. At the time we were staying Arctic Terns had arrived. This area is one of the largest habitations of these birds in Iceland."

"Clean place that we had to ourselves (off-season). Easy check-in Decent kitchen and lots of seating (though I expect it gets crowded)."

"Only one shower and 2 toilets. The steps up to the shower are very narrow and need care when taking them."

"Really liked this for an overnight stop. Great location with a beautiful view. We had a huge room with comfortable beds. There were a few other guests but plenty of room in the kitchen and dining area. Coffee and a good coffee maker in the kitchen were appreciated for the morning. The house was clean and comfortable. Convenient parking right in front."

"We never did see any staff but that was fine. Check in was really quick and easy with the emailed code for a keybox. The lock on the front door is a little sticky. It unlocked relatively easily but getting it locked again from the outside was a bugger."

"The guesthouse has a self-service check-in and out and it was very convenient. The room was small, like most rooms in Iceland, was heated and they provided us towels and sheets. We shared the bathroom with other guests but they were nice and we didn’t have any problem. The bathroom was quite big. We stayed there one night and overall it was a nice experience. From the window of our room we were able to see the northern lights!"

"The floor of our room was a bit dirty and dusty. The doors of the shower didn’t close well, fortunately we didn’t wet the floor. In addition, there weren’t many places where to put towels, bathrobes and clothes since there was no wardrobe."

"I had the possibility to make my own breakfast and every meal. With almost all the facilities: microwave, ovnen, waterboling, etc. Clean, warm, nice place inside and outside."

"Great place, easy check-in and check-out. Everything was clean, all the necessary in the kitchen and beyond. Nice shower, cute details like cotton sponges in the bathroom, hairdryer, shower soap and shampoo. What is the most important, is the mattress and pillows - it was good and comfortable! For me this is the main criteria! Often hotels and guesthouses invest in stuff around, but save on mattresses. Here I felt that the sleep of guests is important to the host. Top!"
