Diani Cottages

"местораположение: рядом супермаркет, кафе, рестораны, аптека, обмен валюты, много тук-туков - можно всегда доехать. до пляжа 5 минут. Завтраки однообразные: яйца на ваш вкус. тосты, фруктовый салат, чай,кофе. йогурт по запросу. Мы покупали сыр и ветчину к завтраку, были сыты."

"Я впервые сталкиваюсь с такой ситуацией. Я совершенно не понимаю, как это место получило оценку 9,0 на букинге. Идея прекрасная: 5-6 коттеджей вокруг бассейна на закрытой территории, у каждого своя зона с кушеткой и столом. В домике 2 комнаты с 2 спальными кроватями, общая гостиная, кухня и сан узел! Звучит так, что вам уже нравится. Но! Чувство брезгливости меня не покидало ни на секунду. К коттедже древние деревянные рамы с полуотвалившейся сеткой, что образует дыры. Насекомые себя чувствуют просто необыкновенно вольготно. Я молчу про бесконечных муравьев и гиконов мы уже считали их членами нашей коммуны, но ТАРАКАНЫ ! это ужас! Однажды ночью на кресле в гостиной дочь видела скорпиона. Мусор был убран единожды, да, в описании отеля указано, что уборка 1 раз в неделю, но мусор-то в таком климате очевидно не способствует гигиене. Как в месте с оценкой 9 весь текстиль в дырках: простыни, полотенца, скатерть, занавески?! Бассейн также оставляет желать лучшего, конечно народу не много , но впечатление что, бассейне без системы обновления воды, его чистит вручную усердный мужчина, но все равно в воде много всего плавает. Душ у бассейна сломан, воды помыть ноги после пляжа нет. На домиках установлены солнечные батареи, при заезде информировали, что электроэнергии на кондиционер не хватает, его использование за дополнительную плату ( примерно, за неделю мы заплатили 2000 шилингов.), но кондиционером мы пользовались только в одной комнате, где совершенно бесполезным был вентилятор, у детей в комнате вентилятор справлялся исправно. В данном случае претензий нет, у каждого своя зона комфорта. Хочу заметить, нам было с чем сравнить, мы были в 2 х других отелях на Диани Бич. Цена/качество здесь не соотвествует. За эти деньги можно снять более комфортное жилье."

"The staff was really friendly and accommodating to my needs. Yonus and Valentine specifically helped me with anything I needed. The breakfast was really good and the room was clean and had all the amenities needed to have a wonderful stay."

"Great location a short walk to the beach and in the heart of Diani with bars, restaurants and a supermarket/small mall within walking distance. Nice having your own private outdoor area too. Staff were very friendly and helpful too."

"There were a couple of maintenance issues when I first arrived, but they were sorted swiftly with no fuss. It’s a bit weird having to pay extra for electricity used, but it was only a small amount in the end. The cottage was a bit dark inside, but I was out most of the day so it didn’t bother me. Perhaps the other cottages are brighter inside due to their location/orientation."

"Electricity was charged based on usage, which felt unusual and wasn't clear on booking. That said, it didn’t end up costing that much in the end. However, the lack of transparency around it was upsetting. The staff were lovely throughout, but I do think this could be handled in a clearer way. It affected my first impression quite a bit, and on reflection, my reaction may have been stronger than necessary. Still, the situation left a bit of a mark on my rapport with the otherwise wonderful team. Also, having no TV in the rooms was a surprise also."

"Waking up to the sound of the German owner shouting at his subordinates for being late for work. Made me feel bad for the personnel. Also the German accent by itself is a bit rough on the ears, especially in the morning"

"Great place. The host organized freshly baked gluten free bread for us which was amazingly delicious. We had a spacious and quiet cottage. We enjoyed the use of the fridge and air conditioning. The electricity bill for 6 nights was very low, reasonable and below 10 dollars. Very kind staff. Clean pool. We rented a kayak nearby and went snorkeling by ourselves with low tide, which was amazing. Thank you!!"

"Breakfast was lovely and the staff were very accommodating. The cottage was spacious and clean. The complex is set on a side street which is very private with very good security. The pool was lovely too."

"The sink in the kitchen and bathroom had plugs which did not keep the water in. The cupboard doors in the kitchen and living room didn’t shut which detracted from the overall impression. Things were a little tired."

"I can only repeat what I wrote in my previous review when I stayed at this place two years ago. It is a private paradise, my absolute favourite place to stay when traveling. It is the perfect place if you want peace and quiet. Housekeeping comes when you need it, not when a schedule says so. There are restaurants and shopping opportunities just across the road, a 2-minute walk."

"It was very spacious and the ceiling above the bed kept us cool at night. The staff were very helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them. Gilbert cleaned the pool daily and also looked after the gardens. The girls looked after us brilliantly and the property manager Gabrielle was available in person daily with helpful hints and recommendations of things to do."

"Just look out for the cheeky monkeys who will try to steal your breakfast when you are not looking."
