"Exceptional environment, well-kept, among the trees, calm, peaceful. The cottages are built in such a way that they have a pleasant temperature without air conditioning or fans. At night, for the first time in Gambia, I had to cover myself with a duvet. The owner and staff were extremely kind, accommodating, unobtrusive."

Staff very helpful and food good value for hotel facilities. Ample breakfast included too. They offer excursions but we did not try due to lack of time. "Beautiful surroundings, so calm. The host is incredibly helpful and kind. This refuge is his personal project, and you can see his passion. The surrounding villages are small but lovely to walk through. There are nice hikes possible, including to the peak of Mount Agou, the people on the paths will kindly guide you to your destination. They are truly kind."

The location on the map is slightly off, ask for a pin before you arrive to make sure you find the right place!

A little hard to find.

"Located exactly on the mountain, with exceptional views. Facilities were clean, comfortable and well heated. Staff were very helpful to transfer us to the hotel when we arrived, as the car park was a bit far from the hotel. They also treated us exceptionally well, and were always ready to accommodate us with our needs. Food and drinks were also really good. All in all 10/10 stay"

"Бронирование было в их базе, встретили и сразу заселили, воду и полотенца предоставили, горячая вода круглосуточно, есть услуги прачечной. Хорошо расположено. Видно что унитаз действительно вымыт и продезинфицирован."

Вид из окна приемлимый, но так как нет занавесок, только шторы, походить неодетым не получится. Из двух полотенец одно сероватое.

над кроватью не было сетки от комаров. вода в бассейне была не прозрачная но люди купались.

"Идеальная чистота в природе и в самом лагере. Ночью топят печку в каждой юрте. В итоге можно достичь разумного комфорта между температурой и духотой. Разношерстные гости, в основном, европейцы. Отличные хозяева."

Вся еда на ужин - с местным колоритом, не всем может понравиться. А вот завтраки уже более европейские. Санузел - традиционный, дырка во дворе. Дождик может моросить в лицо. Кровати жестковатые.

"Nalazi se na savrsenom mestu sa jako lepom plazom. Bungalovi su skromni ali ok. Postoji opcija klime ali mora ranije da se najavi! Hrana je izvrsna, imaju jako zanimljive izlete po ok cenama. Odlazak na kornjace ne treba propustiti!!! Osoblje je sjajno."

"Отель находится не очень далеко от пирса, в пешей доступности от отеля находится овощная лавка, два магазина и заправка. Персонал очень приветливый и дружелюбный. В отеле много общих зон, где можно приятно провести время. Бунгало было новым, чистым и очень светлым. Кондиционера в бунгало нет, но с наступлением темноты температура внутри быстро снижается, а днем я был на пляже. Еда вкусная. Две бутылки воды предоставляют каждый день, так же на ресепшен можно налить воду в бутылку. Приятно порадовала возможность взять лед на ресепшен."

Это не совсем минус, а скорее особенность - уборку номера, на сколько я понял, могут произвести по запросу. Полотенца поменяли по запросу без каких либо проблем.

"Great location and the scenery was beautiful. Very nice and peaceful atmosphere. Located on hill tops and the views were amazing! Perfect if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature. Surrounded by trees and was entertained by monkeys swinging through the branches. The rooms were also very spacious and allowed a comfortable stay. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient and meals were delivered to the room. Staff were very accommodating and overall had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay."

"The accommodation is in a great location, just a few meters from the ocan and the centre - cafés, restaurants, and bars are all within walking distance. The place was clean, the room was spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent, and we also made use of the hotel’s pool, which was a nice bonus."

As for the negatives, the first thing that surprised us was the arrival - when we got there in later afternoon, the night guard simply waved his hand to indicate where our room was, without giving us any further information. Unfortunately, the staff in general were not very friendly or welcoming. I should also mention that payment was accepted only in cash, which was quite surprising since we had no issues paying by card anywhere else in El Salvador. Overall, I would probably come back again.

"Breakfast was fine - just remember to inform the owner the day before if you require breakfast. Ingrid, the co-owner, is a lovely woman and a fine, traditional cook. You will never leave the table hungry! Whilst she can offer beer at an extra cost, we tended to buy our own along with wine to drink at dinner. Again, you will need to inform Ingrid on the day if you require dinner later. There is no choice; me and my wife are both omnivores with no allergies or intollerances, and always liked what she prepared! Our lodge was spacious with a generous deck overlooking the beautiful gardens, and the sea in the background."

A small fridge in our lodge would have been a great bonus - however, we were free to use Ingrid's fridge. The shower was also a little on the dribbly side!

Modi Lodge is quite hidden and set in a remote area. It offers a peaceful and secluded atmosphere, which can be great if you’re looking to unwind, but it also means that getting around is difficult without your own transportation. Public transport and taxis are limited in that part of Curaçao, so without a car you won’t be able to easily reach beaches, restaurants, shops, or other attractions on the island.

"This accommodation is surrounded by beautiful scenery and cafes with beautiful scenery. It’s much recommended for tourist who is looking for quiet and peaceful stay. There is warmer installed under the wooden flooring so it is very comfortable to sleep on during winter. Our stay became more interesting in the morning when the host enthusiastically prepared us a tableful of breakfast. She prepared costumes for the children and initiated to take photos for us within the house and at the beautiful yard."

I am very particular with cleanliness so I didn’t feel that the bedding and pillows were very fresh. The place is actually not difficult to find but we tried taking a bus from Yeonsinnae Station and we took more than an hour to look for the bus stop with the bus that took us up to Eunpyeong area.
