The Authentic Place

"Отличное расположение; красивая и просторная квартира; вид из окна шикарный; доступ на террасу на верхнем этаже; очень милый балкон; хозяева апартаментов отвечали на запросы почти сразу."

"Мы были в середине ноября и было не очень жарко. Полы в квартире очень холодные, босиком ходить не могли, а тапочки не предоставили. Первую ночь не смогли поспать так как были только пододеяльники и было очень холодно, но по запросу нам выдали теплые одеяла. Уборка в квартире очень некачественная. Желтые пятна были на полотенцах, постельном белье, занавесках. На стуле в спальне коричневое растертое пятно. В одном из пододеяльников был найден упакованный презерватив. Полы были откровенно грязными. Под ножкой стола лежал какой-то мусор к которому сбежалась куча муравьев. Окна с красивым видом были полностью заляпаны руками. Чайником не хотелось пользоваться так как он весь в накипи и желтых разводах. Не смотря на то, что в ответе на один из отзывов хозяева написали, что матрасы в квартире одинаковые - это не так, в правой комнате матрас удобный, в левой совершенно другой, чувствуются пружины. Лифт сломался примерно на третий день нашего пребывания, его так и не починили до отъезда. В правой комнате проблемы с водой в душе, она то идет нормальной температуры, то начинает плеваться или вообще перестраивается на кипяток на пару секунд за которые вполне можно обжечься, мыться было просто страшно. В левой комнате из занавесок только тюль, в правой есть толстые занавески, но они белые и прекрасно пропускают утреннее солнце, которое светит именно со стороны спальни. В правой спальне в последний день отломалась ручка от шкафа, к счастью там уже не было наших вещей."

"Beautiful apartment, well equipped, spacious, beds are comfortable, close to public transport and Valetta. The windows are soundproof - even though there is heavy traffic in front of the building, it was really quiet in the apartment. There was wine and coffee waiting for us on check-in."

"We asked to have extra bedsheets (not to sleep under one double bedsheet, as we were not couples, but friends), but the owner did not provide it for some reason. The shower in one of the bathrooms was plugged and flooded the bathroom. There was no space to keep cosmetics in the bathrooms, no towel racks. And the neighborhood was pretty shady and ugly. The huge construction side in the front of the building and a scrap yard on the back! There was mud and dust everywhere once you left the apartment. Not enough toilette paper."

"The property was lovely and spacious, clean with all the facilities you require. It was on the top floor with access to a roof terrace and had its own balcony overlooking the harbour. Each bedroom had its own bathroom with patio doors onto their own small terrace at the back. There were restaurants and bars within walking distance and a major bus stop serving a large part of the island. Small supermarkets are within minutes walk and a large Lidl 20 mins walk."

"One of the reasons we choose this property was the balcony, where we envisaged breakfasts in the morning. Unfortunately due to the major construction going on directly outside the noise, from 6:30 am, meant we couldn’t use this until after 7:00pm each day after work had finish. Each day there were jcb diggers, high rise cranes, generators, pile drivers, cement being delivered, industrial jack hammers, etc. looking at the site it will probably be going on for a long time. We felt let down that the description and photos did not reflect this"

"I liked the place and location was great. The attitude was amazing. You really feel welcome at that place! It was also very nice to find some socket adapters at the apartment, so need to worry about it."

"It was a bit difficult to put proper setting on air conditioning. And just some observation - there might be standing clothes hanger next to the door so you can place there some staff and also some shelves or cabinets would be very useful in the bathrooms"

"This apartment is perfectly placed having superb views of Msida Marina in one direction and the islands residential vista in the opposite direction. Transportation of every kind was available within a short walk to the island attractions as well as the airport. The apartment has a great balcony overlooking the busy but fascinating centre of Msida but when closing the balcony doors to retire to bed it was both quiet and comfortable in the air conditioned bedrooms. The host made us most welcome and the information booklet detailing places to visit and the various restaurants was very informative. The welcome pack including a bottle of wine was a nice touch."

"The kitchen lacked a good food preparation area, however as we intended to eat out every day this was not a problem. There are some road works below the apartment which provided us with additional visual interest however some may find this less appealing."

"It was really well furnished apartment, with the beautiful view on the church. And we were welcomed with the letter, guide book and a bottle of wine which was just very nice:) beds were also very comfortable"

"There were some problems with flashing and construction works behind the window but it was temporary problem I guess"

"Lovely, clean and well presented apartment overlooking the marina and church. Inside looked just like the photos online. Handy for buses and some good local amenities. Aircon in the bedrooms and comfy beds. Hosts provided coffee and tea and welcome bottles of wine and water. The apartment was quiet inside and towels and bedding were supplied for our stay, as well as toiletries."

"On arrival in the early hours the lift wasn’t working nor the lights in the entrance lobby and stairwell. The apartment is on the 5th floor so was difficult to get the cases up the stairs, especially in pitch darkness. This was rectified following a message sent via the app. but no actual responses received. Unfortunately, both went off again 48 hours later. Again, it was fixed the following day but meant there was lots of climbing of stairs we didn’t expect and no apologies or explanation from the hosts. Even more disappointingly, there are major roadworks outside the apartment which must have been started some time ago and are planned for many months to come. This meant the beautiful balcony and view were not able to be appreciated in the daytime due to noise and dust. We were not informed of this in advance and I must admit I wouldn’t have booked the place if I had of known. The view was a massive selling point for me as was the balcony for relaxing breakfast, lunch and evening drinks for example. None of which we had."

"The Authentic Place, even if the name grates a little, is the best apartment my wife and I have ever rented across Europe. It’s spacious, well fitted out and has several small touches that show the owners really care. There’s a bit of traffic noise at the front but the bedrooms at the back are very quiet. The location is near the main yacht marina in Valletta and the nearest bus stop is only 100 metres away. Frequent buses take only ten minutes to get to the old city. Plenty of convenience stores and cafes nearby, and a couple of decent restaurants as well. Chris and Neil were extremely helpful and responded very promptly and effectively to a small query we had before we arrived."

"We enjoyed the design and the overall atmosphere in the flat! Nice view from the balcony. There are some small repairs going in the square, but the view still amazing. The kid enjoyed the bed with curtains a lot!"
