"Visited before. It’s good to see they have renovated as it was starting to look v tired"

The sea has moved in so much over the years that there really is no place to sunbathe on the beach by the hotel. You can walk further down the beach - given space limited sun beds on the decking area.

Check air conditioner operation before sleeping! We down graded to beach front from water bungalow but didnt get discount or reimbursement from booking dot com. :( Had noisy neighouring resort from parties over 2 days.

A little tired in places - could do with a bit of a spruce up such as a lick of paint on all the walls, new carpets in the common areas (stairs) etc. Seemed to be a lot of staff but not a lot of guests (although the staff were lovely).

"Нам было очень уютно, комфортно и тепло, как у бабушки в деревне. Отопление хорошее. Чистое белье и полотенца. Умиротворенная атмосфера. Это прекрасное место, где можно уединиться и насладиться природой и тишиной. Хорошая цена. Есть купель с водой из источников с видом на горы и поле с овечками. Купель чистая, я не понимаю, кто пишет отзывы, что она грязная. Были при температуре на улице +2, вода была между теплой и горячей в купели, и прекрасная горячая сауна-это все включено в стоимость проживания. Замечательный персонал, очень добродушный, все объясняет. Быстро отвечают на сообщения. Сделали нам бесплатно апгрейд номера, так как было наполовину пусто в гостевом доме. Можно заказать ужин (до 21:00) и завтрак, шеф-повар очень вкусно готовит. Вернулись бы еще много раз. Спасибо хозяевам и персоналу!!! Успехов Вам! Вы большие молодцы!"

"Атмосфера, персонал, вид из окна нашего номера, отношение к гостям, питание, бассейн. В отеле думают о комфорте гостей. Тапочки и халаты в номере, в халате удобно ходить в бассейн, сейф, розетки разных стандартов, не надо привозить с собой переходник. Близко паром на соседний остров, там можно сесть в красный двухэтажный автобус и совершить 2х часовое путешествие по острову. Напротив выхода из аэропорта остановка прямого автобуса ТD1, который привезёт к отелю, выходить на остановке Ахраш. Цена 3.50 евро. В пути 1.5 часа. Отель находится в очень красивом месте."

Далековато от аэропорта, тусклый свет в ванной комнате, пора постирать шторы и занавески в номере.

"Красивая территория, чистый пляж, хороший персонал. Останавливались в вилле с 3 спальнями. Очень удобная планировка, но мебель и оборудование устаревшие. Очень шумные старые кондиционеры. Ночью приходилось их выключать, так как совершенно невозможно спать. Даже днем они вызывали дискомфорт сильным шумом. Все межкомнатные двери полностью из легкого металла, очень странное решение. Закрывались с сильным стуком и скрипом. Есть кухня с плитой, микроволновой печью, холодильником, но нет никакой посуды, кроме чашек. В пивном баре, расположенном в гостинице, нет никакой информации про happy hour, хотя эта опция есть. Только один официант из нескольких работающих сказал нам про это и учитывал в счете. Остальные приносили счет без скидки, приходилось каждый раз указывать на это. В аква центре нет прайс листа с ценами, все со слов работника, как на рынке."

"Один из немногих приличных отелей в Шимони. Очень стильно, по-суахильски, много картин и скульптур. Прекрасный вид на океан и остров Васини. Хороший санузел, кондиционер, удобная мебель. Чистый бассейн. Очень тихо, зелено и красиво, бегают мартышки. Отель старый, идёт вялотекущий ремонт, но не раздражает. Персонал очень приветливый, хорошие завтраки и бар. На Васини красивые баобабы, парк мангровых деревьев и кораллов. Морской парк - единственное место в Диани, где можно посноркать, лучше брать частный тур - можно заехать на маленькие острова."

Единственный огромный баобаб на территории превратили в помойку. Ресторан невкусный и ооочень медленный, как и большинство в Шимони и на Васини. Лучше всего готовят в маленьких кафе. В морском парке нас обманули - мы заплатили онлайн через Еситизен, но "деньги не пришли", заплатили ещё раз на месте налом 7000 (хотя там вообще непонятно за что платить - океан общий, никаких заборов и проверок нет, лодка стОит отдельно). Через день "деньги пришли" и нам прислали билеты. Мы попросили возврат у KWS, но нам ответили, что кто-то использовал наши билеты через 4дня (!) после указанной на них даты. Жулики. Вообще нужно везде и долго торговаться и отбиваться от попрошаек, что очень раздражает. Кроме пещеры рабов смотреть нечего, но это 10 минут.

"Очень живописная « деревенька» в стиле этно. На территории есть отдельно стоящие домики разного размера в старинном стиле и есть небольшой корпус отеля . Очень красивое ландшафтное оформление с прудиками, ручей есть даже внутри отдельно стоящего ресторана. В ресторане отличное обслуживание и вкусная еда. Есть очень красивый открытый бассейн, жаль что в это время года он не работает. Завтраки очень хорошие. На ресепшен очень приятные люди."

Складывается такое впечатление, что в объект вложено много средств, а сейчас на эксплуатацию их выделяется не совсем достаточно.

There was nothing significant to complain about. Overall, the experience met and even exceeded my expectations.

"The hotel is great and in an amazing location which is right inside the airport. Staff were polite and amazing, great buffet breakfast, there is mini zoo which had wildlife such as monkeys, crocodile, tortoise, parrot, ostriches, peacocks etc. The rooms and facilities was great and it was a great stay. They provided free shuttle to the airport which is a bonus."

The pool could do with a bit of cleaning.

"Really clean, big rooms, nice that you don’t need to wake up early to reserve the sunbeds. Breakfast included. Really nice beach. Cold towel and virgin shot service at the pool every day. They really made us to feel special, this was our anniversary trip."

A little bit noise from the outside in the early mornings and you always heard the ice machine used in the hallway. There was also renovation in one of the resraurants, which we did not know beforehand and there were thrilling at day time, which we heard in our room. Also a lot of other small maintain, like bug spraying in our room and men repairing aircon in front of our room in most of the days. We couldn’t eat breakfast in Tara wing because of the renovation, because they closed early every morning. Nobody told us that. A lot of bird poop everywhere and the birds in the breakfast area/tables in the beach restaurant.

WiFi хотелось бы улучшить.

"Well maintained, super friendly and helpful staff. Room was always well stocked with towels and cleaned. Nicola does a great job by the pool keeping everyone happy with towels, food and drinks. Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly and the bartender was always smiling and talkative. D Richard’s steakhouse was great - Steak Diane and Filet were both excellent. Sol de Mar had good Mediterranean style food with a relaxed atmosphere. My husband and I ate here on a few occasions- pasta with lobster, veal scallopini both great choices. Close location to a number of off property restaurants that are excellent."

The pads on the loungers are very old, worn thin and extremely uncomfortable to sit on. Chef’s Table wasn’t good- we ate only one dinner there and the lobster cake and fish were dried out. The pasta dish with Shrimp had the full shell on the shrimp still making eating very messy. Lobster Fest on the beach was disappointing. The lobster was dried out as it had been sitting under lamps for some time. We waited 30 minutes past our reservation time to finally get a table after speaking with the manager in charge. Very unorganized.

"I had never been to an all inclusive resort before and was sceptical and personally probably will never do it again but nothing to do with the Bareclo, simply my preference but the resort was totally amazing considering the price. I had one of the bungalows which has large vey well decorated and very comfortable likewise the bathroom. Considering the size of the resort the WiFi was excellent . I never used the pool which was huge but instead the beach and swam several times The beach is stunning and spotlessly clean as to the gardens they are stunning and so well kept. The staff were so friendly and helpful especially so the ones in the dining room I have never seen such a volume of food being served ( and consumed !) in such vast qualities and the staff there in my view were so patient considering what they were dealing with! Overall I cannot fault the resort in any major way you get amazing value for money … congratulations to Barcelo"

The checking in process is very unwieldy on arrival I joined a queue of at least 50 people I got there in the early afternoon and they simply would not let anyone in to their room before 3 pm And surely some of rooms were really and why allow check ins as was available . This is not the first time I have come across this attitude The resort is large and at first it was difficult to find your bungalow as it’s not overly well signposted The was an entertainment lady around the pool screaming down a microphone … why is that necessary ? Overall it was a great stay Well done Barcelo
