"Everything was amazing, from each and every point of view. It's the type of accommodation you'd chose again and again. Josie is the best host someone could ask for - she is very attentive to the guests and always prepared to help or to recommend places for maximising the experience of tourists. The place overall and the room were not only super clean and comfortable (I literally slept like a baby, haha), but equipped with all the necessary things for a great stay. Plus, the way the room was designed... the combination between visual art and practicality is awesome! Highly recommend! Thank you so, so much, Josie!"

"The guesthouse was very clean and beautiful, as well as quiet with access from the back of the house. The kitchen was very well stocked, with a microwave, fridge, oven, sink and cleaning supplies and cutlery and spices. Our room was a good size, with charging ports near the bed, clean sheets and covers and enough space for our large luggage. The location was also really good, close to the airport. It's very close to thr Trollkunfinger walk. You can park right beside the house, and there's space for at least three cars."

There were some loud motercycle noises in the night, it did keep us from sleeping a little, so it seems like the neighbourhood can get a bit noisy. The nice bathroom with a standing shower is in the basement, which you need to access from outside or from a trap door in the kitchen. The other bathroom has a tub but doesn't have enough ceiling space to stand. The basement was a little cold and dusty and so bathing there was a little scary!

Отсутствовали пакеты для мусора в мусорных ведрах, что достаточно удивительно. Слабенькая звукоизолляция между комнатами.

"Die Pension wird liebevoll von der Besitzerin Katalin geführt. Optimal ist die Nähe zum Strand, nur 2 min. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen!"

"Безупречно! Восхительное место, в руках по истине фанатов своего дела. По факту это вилла, буквально на полном пансионе. В течение дня можно заказать и напитки, и фрукты. Ужины на уровне хорошего ресторана, сытные завтраки. Очень атмосферно, много зелени и птиц. Я просыпался в 5 утра, в ожидании рассвета. Отличное зонирование номеров. И это первый отель в моей жизни, где я отдыхал у бассейна, несмотря на то, что океан в 1,5 км. Уборка каждый день. До пляжа 20 минут по тихим улочкам и немного через центр жизни."

Есть небольшие детали, не более того. Рекомендую именно этим местом закончить свой визит на Маврикий, а не начинать с него. Мы были в трех местах, и это лучшее. Рай на земле. 11/10.

"After being welcomed at the jetty we received a wet towel, tasty sandwiches and a refreshing drink. The staff was super friendly and we also liked the island, the room and the breakfast. We got water every day and beach towels."

The shower is open, so the bathroom gets wet every time you shower.

Pain et viennoiseries extra. Stationnement pratique devant le portail dans une impasse. Anne est reactive, chaleureuse, attentionnée et de bons conseils. À refaire aux beaux jours pour profiter des velos et de la sympathique petite terrasse☀️"

Conveniently located walking distance from the port, but still in quiet and private location. We felt straight at home. The hosts gave us great tips for the island and even booked our St Valentine restaurant for us."

"Such a cozy and homey place to stay! The house itself is 254 years old, full of charm and character. The owner was so welcoming and shared the amazing story of how it was his great-great-grandfather who built it, such a cool piece of history. I also got to go up to the roof, which had a beautiful view overlooking the city and the neighborhood. Definitely made the stay extra special"

The shared kitchen could have been stocked with a few basic amenities (salt, oil etc.).

"Хороший персонал, достаточно большая комната. Порадовало что комната застелена ковром, очень приятно ходить босиком. У меня была угловая комната на последнем этаже поэтому был длинный балкон, огибающий этот угол. Парковка платная 15лв. Внизу магазин с фруктами. Рядом нет шумных баров и гулянок поэтому тихо"

Отсутствует утюг и стиральная машинка

"Отличный отель за свои деньги. В номере: кровать, душ, кондиционер, холодильник. Вряд ли вы будете в Бисау больше 1 ночи, а для такой ночевки этот отель прекрасен! Хозяин (Нико) очень отзывчивый."

У отеля нет ресепшена, это как большой частный дом. При входе сидел охранник, который говорил только на французском. Но он быстро позвонил хозяину, который оперативно пришел и меня заселил.

I did not like that there were no mats on the bedroom floor or kitchen. No dish soap, no hands soap, no paper towel or even a kitchen towel. I been to one air BNB and two hotels and only blue star provided nothing for their guests. I was shocked but it is what it is. I learnt so I know now what to expect should I book it against. All in all it was a great stay and a beautiful place.

"Large comfortable room. Good breakfast and dinners. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. In particular the brother of the manager who covered food, service and many other things. Along with another young man who did likewise, plus he did an excellent job of guiding us on a hike through Palm Gardens and Gorge Du Todra. When we were making our booking we enquired about access as we were planning a long trip with heavy luggage. We were told in advance that there is a steep path and stairs from the road but that we would have our luggage transfered for us by staff and Jack the donkey. On arrival and departure that was done by the staff and lovely healthy looking well cared for Jack. So our stay was overall very good."

The only things were the mounting bracket for the shower head in the bathroom faces the head straight out. No big problem for us as we just held it by hand. But some people may not be comfortable doing that and a new mounting bracket would be a good idea. The second thing was a leak from the pipe suppling the bathroom sink. Which meant that the bathroom floor away from the shower was wet and could be slippery. There was a floor blade left in the bathroom to use but the leak would not be a major job to fix so would be worth doing.

"Fantastic, amazing,clean beautiful cosy place. Very friendly and felpful owner, he brought us butter, as I forgot and also tea. He helped me about what to see in the area. Very very cosy,home atmosphere. I am so so happy to choose this accomodation and I highly recommend it to everyone. At 10.00 pm there is silence. Parking next to house. Everything is very close."
