"Fabrice was an awesome host and staying at the house felt very authentic. As for all of Raiatea, it is important to know that you should rent a car as otherwise you would not be able to really enjoy the island. Since the house does not have walls or air conditioning, of course, there are mosquitoes and it can get very hot during the day. But this is clearly laid out in the description of the accommodation and I would consider this being part of the experience. There are multiple fans in the house. Make sure to bring and put insect repellent."

The army of roosters in the neighborhood holding their nightly crowing competition from 1 am to 5 am :-) Earplugs or noise canceling headphones are highly recommended.

"The Eco Guest House is located in the owners estate. The chalet type accommodation had the living area and bathroom downstairs whilst the upstairs there is one bedroom with a queen bed and two single beds. The setting is absolutely wonderful for nature lovers. We did a bird touring with Wendy(the host) which was great and without her we wouldn't have spotted many of the birds. The balconies are great to sit and relax in and enjoy the bird life."

"Expecting a, rather basic if not even grim place for the price but was a big, bright and modern room right by the river with your own hammock on the verandah! Bit of a walk to the centre where most the bars and restaurants are but it's a nice walk. (Tip-- rent a bicycle at the first bike shop you come across after getting off the ferry and the journey will be even easier. At a quid a day it's worth renting the extra day just so uoive hot a ride back to the ferry!) I'm a bit of a mozzie magnet so feared the worst, staying by the river but hardly bit at all. The island itself is so chilled yet with a nice vibe and I loved pottering around on the bike over the bridge to the end of the next island as well"

Just the bed and the distance from the centre stopped it being a 10 but if you get a bike it's a breeze

"I loved this place, but it was the host lady that really made the difference. She helped us basically every day with arranging taxis and transport all over the island, including coletivos back to the port right from the gate. She adds massive value to the stay."

No complaints at all! It's just a bit of a walk from the centre but very manageable

"Suzy and the other lovely staff spoke good English, helped us book a river cruise and provided other very useful information during our stay. The pricing was very fair, and the location is much better than staying in Yangshuo near West Street. The Chinese breakfast was 25 RMB per person and tasted great, and came with freshly squeezed, sweet tangerine juice! We didn't find it until the last day but there was a water dispenser on the ground floor."

There was a bit of noise from construction/repairs and tree maintenance, but it was only during the day so we mostly missed it, and it was temporary anyway.

On top of that, you can taste their own wines and spirits. Rooms were spacious and the A.C. worked incredibly. If you are looking for a calm place to unwind I highly recommend to try this. Thank you, we will most likely be back!"

"Прекрасное место! Очень удобное размещение для большой семьи. Можно снять разные домики в шаговой доступности друг от друга. Все в зелени и цветах, вокруг фруктовые деревья и очень ухоженно, выложены дорожки, около каждого домика свой гамак и зона отдыха в своем саду. В домиках очень уютно, каждый домик оформлен в своем стиле, очень аутентично и комфортно. В свите есть настоящий камин, который вы можете сами растопить и любоваться на огонь, добавляя в вашу жизнь романтизм. В обычных домиках тоже есть камины, но электрические и они тоже создают уют и тепло. В каждом домике есть ванна с джакузи. Есть красивая посуда, плита, микроволновка, холодильник, все самое необходимое. Вас встречает великолепный персонал, который всегда с вами на связи и подскажет и поможет в любое время . Мы обязательно туда еще вернемся. Спасибо большое!"

No fault of property but local drains were smelling. Would benefit from a washing machine.

"La struttura è a dir poco favolosa, immersa nella natura. Abbiamo soggiornato due notti ma avrei fatto volentieri una settimana. L'appartamento molto grande, con un corridoio che affacciava sulla strada; dalla finestra della camera si vedeva il fiume. Ampio spazio per parcheggio ed inoltre l'host è una persona eccezionale che ha saputo anche consigliarci cosa visitare e dove poter mangiare bene e devo dire che ha superato le aspettative. Stupendo tutto"
